Scenario – A320, V2500 Inlet Cowl, urgent AOG requirement due to wire mesh delamination

Actions Undertaken
To minimise downtime, our rapid AOG specialist team reacted quickly to our client’s situation and arrived on site within a short timeframe. Working on site for our client, WCS utilised our extensive practical experience to safely remove and replace the damaged area of wire mesh. This repair was undertaken in accordance with Part21J, thereby ensuring compliance with the necessary safety and performance standards.

Outcome’s
Undertaking this Part 21J repair via WCS ensured our client received a cost-effective permanent repair solution with minimal acoustic loss, thus extending the life of the intake panel. The WCS solution removed the need for our client to undertake expensive and time consuming complete part replacement from the OEM.

Scenario – A321 multiple overhead bin, skin delamination’s 

Actions Undertaken
Utilising WCSs bespoke designed tooling (which enables overhead bin repair in-situ within the aircraft or within our Part 145 facility) the damaged skins where removed and new skins bonded in place. This repair was undertaken via a Part 21J Service Bulletin.

Outcome’s
Undertaking this Part 21J repair via WCS ensured our client received a cost-effective solution that restored the bins structural integrity and provided factory fresh aesthetics, negated the need for an expensive OEM repair disposition and avoided the need for replacement of the overhead bins.
